En diciembre de 2006, se realizó en la ciudad alemana de Dusseldorf la Quadriennale 06 de Arte Contemporáneo, teniendo como tema central el cuerpo humano. Entre la diversidad de artistas estaban Juan Muñoz, Teresa Margolles, Berlinder de Bruyckere, Bruce Nauman, Martin Honert, Francis Bacon y Caravaggio. Detengo mi atención, por un momento, en la obra de Berlinder de Bruyckere. Esta artista, que comienza su trayectoria en los años 90, trabaja con instalaciones y esculturas utilizando materiales como capas de lana, cuero y piel de animales.
