Seguramente, a día de hoy el interés por el análisis espacial no precise de demasiadas justificaciones como posible herramienta epistemológica en el campo de las ciencias sociales. En cambio, resulta algo más problemático citar a un autor como Carl Schmitt -tanto por sus ideas políticas como por su trayectoria vital- y reivindicarlo como pionero de ese mismo marco analítico.
