MIRA, Live Visual Arts Festival. 2014 VISUAL OPEN CALL
MIRA Live Visual Arts Festival starts its 4th edition publishing the 2014 VISUAL OPEN CALL. The Festival will be held in different venues of Barcelona in November 2014.

The VISUAL OPEN CALL, which last year received more than 180 proposals from 23 countries, is focused on the visual creation and developments. Through this competition, the festival aims to promote the exchange and the creative dialogue among the emerging disciplines in the visual field.
VISUAL OPEN CALL CATEGORIES
5 artistic categories are set:
Installations: to be displayed in the festival different spaces; contemplative and interactive projects with strong visual features.
VJ Set: VJing shows, focused on collaborating with musicians who will also take part of the festival lineup.
AV Shows: multidisciplinary artistic proposals containing visual arts features as a common denominator.
Outdoor MAPPING: mapping on one of the venues building
Project presentation: A forum for presentations during the Festival, where artists, developers and other participants display their projects, technologies and portfolios. The format is a small talk that lasts between 15-30 minutes and will be opened to questions from the audience.
The selection committee, will be composed by visual arts professionals and also members of the organization. Innovation and originality will be highly valued. Selected projects will be part of MIRA 2014 lineup.
