call4roBOt 2015 #XLR8 | roBOt Festival

This open call - free admission, deadline 14 June at 12 PM - is searching for artists to present an original and innovative work of art which is relevant to the festival’s contents – related to digital technologies and exploring the accelerationist aesthetics, that is the theme represented by #xlr8, the official hashtag of this edition. We will be accepting installations, videos, performances, photographs, design and self-productions.Always in search for a deeper awareness through the ever new storytelling of the world’s data - after the 2014 theme #lostmemories, the 8th edition puts the spotlight on the hypertechnologic present, encouraging participants to work through digital and interactive arts on techniques capable of telling and describing the peculiarities of an accelerated existence.call4roBOt 2015 offers 3 prizes:

• Participation to roBOt08, presenting the work of art in the galleries/ spaces involved in the festival or at Palazzo Re Enzo, the main location of the festival
• A prize of € 1000 for the most deserving project
• The publication of the work of art on all the official communication and in roBOt08’s catalog. Some of the works displayed during the festival will also be presented within the events produced by Shape and its international partners in the AV node and IMQF networks, of which roBOt is a founding member

call4roBOt is devoted to promoting projects that explore the festival’s themes through audio and visual instruments. call4roBOt was born to scout talent and aims to find emerging artists as well as those who experiment with crossover technical and expressive forms.
