Casa dell’Arte International Art Residency Programme aims to make the resources of Casa dell’Arte in Bodrum available to visual artists by offering accommodation, working space and artistic resources, and in time, to transform Casa dell’Arte into a hub of artistic collaboration, exchange and production in the Eastern Mediterranean region.

The purpose of the programme is to encourage the development of visual artists and curators of the Eastern Mediterranean region through cultural and interdisciplinary exchange and opportunities for artistic production, exhibition and publication.

Each Residency term leads to an exhibition at Casa dell’Arte Gallery in Bodrum, located inside Casa dell’Arte Hotel of Arts and Leisure. A yearly book describing the curatorial perspective, each artist’s work and reflections on the collaborative process is published in autumn.

Resident artists are expected to donate 2 artworks to the program in order to contribute to its running and in time, to the creation of a residency collection.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

The selection procedure to determine participating artists is carried out by Casa dell’Arte in collaboration with the curator in residence.

The residency program is open to young visual artists and curators. Applications are to be sent by email(residency@casadellarteturkiye.com) and must include following elements:
- A Resume featuring selected exhibitions, projects, grants, awards, past residencies, educational background and contact information.
- A statement describing your work and the artistic Project you intend to carry out during the residency.

- For Artists: a portfolio including information on dimensions, materials used and year of production (No more than 10 low-resolution images).
- For Curators: documentation on previous curatorial work (no more than 2 sample texts and 10 low resolution images)
