“The issue of registering an ephimerous event has always been a constituent element of my work. This is a very important point, because how to narrate an experience is a problem, which I felt very strong in my first adventure in the desert. In contemporaneity we aways have the memory card full, so what do I want to keep? What do I want to delete? This is a big question.”

The performance “3 tips” by the Brazilian artist Leticia Cardoso will take place in the cloister of the Civil Centre “Convento Sant Agusti” on September 16th, 2009.
Leticia Cardoso is a graduate of the School of Fine Arts of the University of the State of Santa Catarina, with a Master in Visual Poetics by the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul; she coordinates the Cultural Space “Archipelago” in Florianopolis. Recently she has been granted with the scholarship “Ibere Camargo” for a residence in the Blanton Museum of Art/ The University of Texas in Austin, U.S.A.
The performance “3 tips” consists of a dress made of 3 long skirts united to each other. Every skirt is worn by a dancer who moves according to material, gesture and space. Every movement made by each body reverberates to the others, creating, thus, a relation of dependence and isolation at the same time. The dancers are united but distant to each other. This game of influence is present in the bodies wearing the skirts; it is based on the dress and the surroundings. The vivid colors move like a painting, visually influencing space.
After its presentation in Brazil, in Recife and Joinville, InterArtive brings the performance to Barcelona.
